Shopmonkey Integration
Use Shopmonkey as your system of record. Let Alyx handle the phone chaos.
Shopmonkey is one of the few shop platforms that publicly leans into developer extensibility: API and webhooks are explicitly promoted for building customized integrations. Their documentation also states Shopmonkey uses REST APIs and that apps can access objects like customers, orders, users, vehicles, and inventory. That matters because phone calls are not just conversations. They're data.
Alyx turns those conversations into structured intake and booking actions that can be reflected in your workflow.
What you get when Alyx connects to Shopmonkey
Instead of 'customer called about brakes,' Alyx captures:
- Vehicle details
- Symptoms
- Drivability/safety context
- Preferred timing
- Callback preference
Auto repair scheduling is diagnostic-heavy. Alyx can be configured to book:
- Diagnostic slots
- Inspections (brake noise, vibration, squeal)
- Maintenance services (if you allow)
- Tow-in intake and drop-off instructions
Alyx sends a written recap so customers don't call back just to reconfirm what was said.
Integration approaches
Because Shopmonkey explicitly supports API-based customization, integration approaches can include:
Exact depth depends on your Shopmonkey configuration and permissions, but the intent is always the same: reduce manual re-entry and prevent missed work.
What Alyx will not do
(because your reputation matters)
Alyx escalates what needs a human.
If your shop uses Shopmonkey, we'll map your booking rules (diagnostic vs service slots, buffers, tow-ins, after-hours) and automatically configure Alyx to match.
